Winter, shows, and the Real World

I live in the cold, cold northern plains and winter is when I can take time from my “real world” job as a museum director (this amazing museum is closed during the winter months). I find myself in my cozy studio, enjoying the squirrels and winter birds that flock to the feeders under the apple trees, creating sweet pieces of jewelry. Ideas for pieces come to me often in the middle of the night, bouncing around in my head until they finally come to life.

One of my favorite things is the opportunity to show my creations at events and my favorite place for such events is a darling boutique in Huron, South Dakota. Just Fabulous is, well, just fabulous! Stephanie, the owner, always has a glass of wine and a piece of chocolate for shoppers during her frequent shows. The atmosphere is always merry and you feel as though you are with your best friends!
